YOUTH health and wellness program - WHICH INCLUDES suicide prevention INITIATIVE WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL partnershipS

One Heart Project will serve as the Project Director for this program.

Three area Kansas Schools (two high schools and one grade school) will pilot a program tied to Teen Health and Wellness and to combat Teenage Suicide. In partnership with a National Program (Sources of Strength) and The Heart of A Champion Program, the project is funded and being implemented currently with initial training completed with fall rollout across all three schools.

Once pilot is completed and results attained, this will scale across the close to 50 Catholic Schools in the Greater Kansas City area.

This program is connected to 15 other area high schools and middle schools with Sources of Strength and also in collaboration with the Johnson County Mental Health Organization.

A reception for all Participants across Kansas City was held on Wednesday, July 31st - see Facebook for details.
